No, our new build properties are advertised in the same way as all other properties when they are nearly ready to move into. We recommend setting up property alerts (see previous FAQ) so you don't miss them once they are advertised. 

We also recommend you ensure you are registered with your local council, as a percentage of new builds may be allocated through council nominations.

There is no specific day when we advertise our properties. All properties are added to the site as soon as they become available, and are advertised for a minimum of seven days. 

We recommend you set up property alerts to receive an email when a suitable property becomes available. To do this, login to your account and click on the 'property alerts' option.

All properties are advertised for a minimum of seven days.

You need to login to your account using the Login option in this site to express an interest in a specific property. This is also known as 'bidding' for a home. If you cannot bid online, you can give the Find a Home team a call on 03451 400 100 option 3.

Yes, anyone aged 16 or over can apply for social housing. We do not take income into account. 

You do not need to pay a deposit for social rented properties. Rent is paid monthly in advance, so we do ask all tenants to pay one month's rent when they receive their keys and sign their tenancy agreement.

Priority is awarded at the following levels:

• Priority level 1 Gold+
• Priority level 2 Gold
• Priority level 3 Silver+
• Priority level 4 Silver
• Priority level 5 Bronze+
• Priority level 6 Bronze
• Priority level 7 No priority

The level of priority you are entitled to will be assessed when you apply.

We give priority to people who register with us, depending on their current situation. We will ask you about your situation and assess your priority level when you apply.
